NTN Demo Tour allows consumers to try before they buy,
and save with $100 Garmont free-heel rebate
The demo tour allows consumers to experience revolutionary fit and performance of the innovative new NTN system, at no charge, before making purchase decisions. Six stops are scheduled at resorts spanning both coasts from now through February.
Registration for any tour stop grants participants exclusive access to a full NTN system for the day comprised of; Rottefella NTN bindings (2011 Backcountry Magazine Editor’s Choice), K2 skis and a choice of boots including Garmont’s award winning men’s Prophet (2011 Telemark Skier Magazine Editor’s Choice, 2010 Backcountry Magazine Editor’s Choice, 2011 Outside Winter Buyer’s Guide), and women’s Priestess women’s boot (2011 Telemark Skier Magazine Editor’s Choice, 2011 Backcountry Magazine Editor’s Choice Award, 2011 Outside Winter Buyer’s Guide). Also included in registration is a $100 rebate card for a future NTN system purchase.“This tour is an exceptional opportunity for the telemark community, to gain familiarity with the NTN system. NTN provides a clear boost in performance and safety for telemark skiers and until the end of January, purchasers of both a Garmont NTN boot and NTN binding are rewarded with a $100 mail in rebate,” said Gord Bailey, president of Garmont.
NTN consumer demos are currently scheduled for:
- December 5, 2010, Loveland Ski Area, Georgetown, Colorado.
- December 11, 2010, Jay Peak Resort, Jay, Vermont.
- January 8th and 9th, 2011, Hoodoo Ski Area, Hoodoo, OR, as part of the North West Tele-Fest.

NTN systems are wholly unique from their telemark boot-and-binding predecessors, providing exceptional advantages to the free-heel crowd, including step-in convenience, massive underfoot control, injury-preventing sideways release, and powerful symmetric performance.

Winner of the 2011 Editor’s Choice Award from Backcountry Magazine, Garmont’s Priestess NTN for women is a high performance telemark boot that satisfies a long list of free-heel skiing dreams. The Priestess blends a sweet forward flex and alpine-like torsional rigidity and control, a round toe for easy walking and scrambling, easy binding entry without bending over or twisting around, a free-pivot touring mode, and integrated ski brakes to keep your skis in check. The Priestess boasts Garmont’s new Ergo Bellows design for the smoothest, most ergonomic forward flex.
The Prophet NTN for men, winner of the
2010 Editor’s Choice Award from Backcountry Magazine, is recognized as the most powerful and precise NTN boot on the marketplace. Utilizing Garmont’s unique Power-Wrap overlap construction, the Prophet closely and comfortably follows the foot’s anatomy with a “pre-punched” shell shape that closes securely around the foot and allows the ankle and bellows to flex freely. The high overlap stays in close contact with the lower leg for the quickest response and leverage with no tongue gap and subsequent lag time.Providing a boost of power and control, both the Prophet and the Priestess excel in hard-snow hiking, accepting a broader range of crampons for technical ascents. Garmont boots are also the only NTN telemark boots in the marketplace with a replaceable underfoot interface known as a “second heel”.
